Welcome Stavros ;o)

Sorry, no, I haven't seen any Greek dvds in the shops. Greek (related) music CDs are easier to get, I think. I have only bought Yanni over here but his cds are not produced in Greece anyway. You would probably get Zorba the Greek and things like that in the shops. But then more and more people get them over the web.

I was looking ones in Newcastle to get a Travel Guide for Greece on VHS and didn't find anything in the shops. When I came back home, I switched my computer on and in 5 min I had found loads online ;o) Why did I loose all these hours wondering around Newcastle? Well, I guess walking is good for me...

I don't think shops stock very specialised items, unless of course there is suddenly a huge market for it. Advertising on a big scale would help.

I find the best way to get hold of Greek films is to borrow them from your teacher.  Grin

Seriously, though, your best bet, as Chrissy says, would be to order online - or why not have a holiday in Greece and fill your case with DVDs instead of duty frees?  Wink

Yes, teachers collect all kind of things... I am glad that some students find them useful  Grin

You mean bringing dvds back instead of feta and olive oil, and olives, and olive paste and sponges and halva and oregano and Greek icons etc. etc. and tomatoes and aubergines from my Dad's garden... of course, I am not allowed to enter the country without them. Yo won't believe what my Mum brings last minutes after we have finished packing suitcases. It is just mad, but in a nice way  Wink

Thank you Jim. I think it will be a very good course and challenging. I am putting all the materials together at the moment and it is very exciting. We will do loads of interesting, interactive stuff and fun, of course. There will be something for everybody!!! I promise.

Shame about your wife.  Sad
